The London District Science & Technology Fair is a non-profit organization that supports project based science and other science – related activities. We collect personal information about young scientists. In compliance with privacy legislation, we provide the following information.

Personal Information

Personal Information is used to notify students and parent(s) of science-fair related events, event participation requirements, collection of specific additional information as required, asking for informed consent for items not covered by this announcement, and for constructing an emergency contact list for students when they are away from home and under the care of an authorized science fair representative.

Storing Information

Information will be stored on the server used to support the fair, and also on the computer(s) of personnel who are required to process the information for mailing, publicity and other purposes approved by the Board.

Sharing Iinformation.

This Regional Science Fair may share data with Youth Science  Ontario, who support science fairs in Ontario, and with Youth Science Canada, the body that organizes the Canada Wide Science Fair, sponsors, MPs and MPPs.  We do not share information with any other entity.

Limited Information

We define Limited Information as the following: name, school, town/city, science fair region, project title, science fair age group, grade level. Limited Information may be used for press releases, publications, media coverage, publicity, awards, or associated events arising from:

* Regional Science Fairs.
* Team Ontario
* Canada Wide Science Fair
* Other programs approved by the Board of Directors

Deleting Information

Information will be kept on file until the Regional Science Fair dissolves. It will be used to support our Alumni Program. When the Regional Science Fair dissolves, information on paper will be shredded while electronic copies will be deleted. If you wish to have your personal information deleted, contact the Chair, using the Contact link in the footer below.
